Wild Chive or Nodding Onion

Wild Chive or Nodding Onion (Allium Schoenoprasum)-The rose-pink (sometimes white) flowers are grouped on a long, slender stem, which is bent by the weight of the corolla. They are usually found on grassy slopes or in meadows.
1. The bulbs are very strong flavoured, and are best parboiled, then simmered until tender. Both the leaves and the bulbs can be used to flavour soups or stew.
